We are excited to present our Thanksgiving play, "Jonathan's Thanksgiving", to parents and grandparents this Thursday, November 16 at 8:45. Plays will be held in our classrooms (Brittain/Justice in Justice's room). Students will bring costumes home on Wednesday. Students should come to school dressed in costumes on Thursday morning and bring a change of clothes (uniform) for the remainder of the day.
We are all looking forward to our field trip to the Jarrell Plantation on Friday, November 17. We will leave FPD at 9:00 and return after lunch for an afternoon of Thanksgiving fun! Students (and chaperones) should wear comfortable walking shoes that will be appropriate for a rugged trail. Thanks to drivers for accompanying us on this great, educational field trip. Please remember to send in an apple for the homemade applesauce. If you are helping cut the apples before we leave, please come to your child's classroom at 8:00.
All Charlotte's Web books should be returned no later that Thursday, November 16. Students may take an AR test which will count towards the 2nd quarter goal.
Friday, November 17 is a dress down day. Students may wear jeans and a spirit top. Everyone bring $1 to benefit Casa Hogar Orphanage in Acapulco, Mexico.
We hope you enjoy the Thanksgiving break! We are thankful for you and your children!
