There is a note in today's papers about our next field trip on Friday, November 16 to the Jarrell Plantation. Check you calendar to see if you are available to chaperone and drive on our trip. (The form is also linked on the right.)
Our annual 3rd grade Thanksgiving play, Jonathan’s Thanksgiving, will be held on Thursday, November 15 in each classroom. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are invited to attend!
Play scripts came home this week so that students can begin memorizing parts. A little practice time each day will make memorization a snap! All parts should be memorized by Wednesday, November 7.
We have a few costumes still available at school. Please return the note attached to the play script if you are interested in borrowing one from our collection.
We hope your 3rd grader has enjoyed the chapters of Charlotte's Web we have read together in class. Books will come home next Wednesday, October 31 in green homework folders. Please take the time to enjoy reading the remainder of this delightful book with your child. Let them practice using their character voices. This helps them to read with expression and fluency. This can count towards the daily homework reading assignment. After completing the book, students may choose to take the AR test at school which will count towards this quarter's goal. Finishing the book at home is optional and, since it is above grade level, may require your assistance. All books must be returned to school by Wednesday, November 14.
