MULTIPLICATION TIMED TEST EVERY TUESDAY! BE SURE TO PRACTICE FOR 10 MINUTES EVERY DAY! Congratulations to those students who have passed all their multiplication facts!!! They are now working towards the next goal...60 mixed facts in a minute!

Unit 8 has two primary objectives: to review the use of fractions and fraction notation and to help children develop a solid understanding of equivalent fractions.  We’re using our fraction cards, candy, number lines, models, and rulers to explore and compare fractions. Please continue to practice multiplication facts daily for accuracy and efficiency.

We have enjoyed learning about the life of George Washington Carver. He showed great determination  throughout his life and is a great role model for us all.

We’re enjoying hearing the biography book reports! Be sure to visit the 3rd grade hall and check out all the projects on the bulletin boards.

We are finishing up our Georgia unit. This week we've learned about our state's symbols. Be sure to review the north middle states and capitals daily.

We began a new unit on Force and Motion in Science lab today. We will explore simple machines and how they make our life easier.
