Dress for Grandparents' Day is a red, white, or patriotic blue collared polo shirt with jeans and tennis shoes. These should be worn on Thursday for dress rehearsal and again on Friday for the performance.

Our Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 12:00 at the new Wilson-Anderson Pavilion and Lacrosse field behind the football stadium. Students need to bring in 12 stuffed eggs (no chocolate, please!) by Tuesday, March 24. We are trying a new way of labeling the eggs that will tie in our multiplication facts. Please see the note in your child's Thursday folder for specific instructions. On the day of the hunt your child needs to bring a basket to collect their eggs.

The new 4th quarter AR goal is....at least 2 chapter books totaling at least 5 points by May 15.
MULTIPLICATION TIMED TESTS EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL WORKING TO PASS ALL FACTS!  EVERYONE BE SURE TO PRACTICE FOR 10 MINUTES EVERY DAY!
Unit 9 is the third of three Math units on multiplication and division. Four main areas of focus in Unit 9 are multiplying and dividing with multiples of 10, 100, and 1,000; using mental math to multiply; sharing money, and finding products of 2-digit numbers.
We learned so much from our Famous American Biography Book Reports!  Please come by the third grade hall and take a peek.  We’ll keep them up so our grandparents can brag!!!
We are reading EXODUS – Moses’ Story from the Bible. We talk about the promises of God and how he used Moses just as he is using His people today.
We began a new Social Studies unit last week. It’s always every 3rd graders favorite! Can you guess? It’s Egypt! We hope you hear lots of new, interesting, fascinating (and maybe even a little gross!) Egyptian trivia over the coming weeks!
We are enjoying our new science unit on Force and Motion. We've already explored what "work" means in scientific terms. Ask your third grader. The answer may not be what you expect! We've also enjoyed exploring how levers make hard jobs easier. We will cover all of the other simple machines this spring, as well as an at school project, Invention Convention.
