First Quarter AR goal info is 4  passed A.R. tests on chapter books by Oct. 22.
The main topic of Unit 2 is adding and subtracting whole numbers. We will explore basic facts and their extensions, solution strategies for number stories, and computation with multi-digit numbers.
We are enjoying reading the delightful book, Rent a Third Grader.  We are learning how the class worked together to save a beloved member of their community.
Flat Stanleys should begin arriving soon! We look forward to learning about all the fun places Stanley has been.
We are enjoying our Macon unit so much and have learned some interesting facts about Macon. Our Downtown Tour in October will be the perfect complement to our unit!
Our Soil Science unit continues. This week in class we became "soil detectives" and used our observation skills and knowledge about soil components to figure out what our mystery soils were made of.  In Science lab today, we further investigated some of the causes of soil erosion -wind and water- and discussed ways we can prevent soil erosion.
